Lance Crosby, founder and CEO of StackPath, founder and former chairman and CEO of SoftLayer Technologies and GM of Cloud Innovation at IBM (acquired by IBM in 2013 and now the foundation of IBM’s Cloud Computing division). Lance’s vision for StackPath began in his work with cloud technology and has manifested to a multi-product platform leading businesses to a secure internet. Prior to SoftLayer, Mr. Crosby spent five years with The Planet as chief operations officer where he managed all operations including sales, provisioning, product selection, managed services, application development, engineering, information security, business development, and legal departments. Serving in prior executive management roles at Catalog.com and Dallas Internet, he brings extensive experience in leadership and management skills coupled with extensive technical skills in software and hardware environments. Mr. Crosby holds bachelors’ degrees in finance and management, a Master of Science in finance, a Master of Business Administration and an Honorary Doctorate (2015) from Tarleton State University, a part of the Texas A&M University System. Mr. Crosby’s legal education includes a Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan School of Law. He is a licensed attorney in the state of Texas and is an active member of the State Bar of Texas.

As senior vice president of global marketing and channel management, Scott Schnell is responsible for Verisign's global marketing efforts as well as the company's registrar account management teams. Before joining Verisign in August 2012, Schnell co-founded and served as president and chief executive officer (CEO) of VideoIQ, Inc., a video analytics technology company. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president of sales, services and marketing at RSA Security, where he led the company to record revenue and successfully rebranded RSA and its then-parent company, Security Dynamics, to become the single RSA brand. Schnell also held senior-level positions in marketing and sales at Apple and Photonics Corporation. Schnell earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah.

Michael R. Nelson works on Internet-related global public policy issues for Cloudflare, a company that has improved the performance and security of more than 6 million web properties. Prior to joining Cloudflare in early 2015, he was a Principal Technology Policy Strategist in Microsoft’s Technology Policy Group and prior to that was a Senior Technology and Telecommunications Analyst with Bloomberg Government. In addition, since January, 2009, Michael Nelson has been teaching courses and doing research on the future of the Internet, cyber-policy, technology policy, innovation policy, and e-government in the CCT Program at Georgetown University. Prior to joining the Georgetown faculty, Nelson was Director of Internet Technology and Strategy at IBM, where he managed a team helping define and implement IBM's Next Generation Internet strategy.

With a total of 35 years of experience in the IT world, Laurent Allard has held various positions of responsibility in multinationals, including CGI, Logica and Axa. As CIO or CTO, he has led ambitious IT and organizational transformation projects in these global companies (such as the creation of AXA Tech in 2001). In February 2015, Laurent Allard joined OVH as CEO to structure the governance of the company, undergoing global growth. An important step in this mission was the creation of the 2015-2020 growth plan, and to ensure funding for it, the arrival of OVH capital from two external capital investors (KKR and TowerBrook funds). In March 2017, Octave Klaba (founder of OVH) and Laurent Allard changed their roles to meet two requirements of a company whose growth continues to accelerate: ensuring execution of the plan on a daily basis in the context of a constantly changing environment, and building the hyper-growth agenda. Octave becomes the CEO of the OVH Group and Laurent joins the OVH Board as Vice Chairman. His Strategic Development mission includes strategic planning, public affairs, and strategic alliances. Laurent is also Chairman of OVH’s strategic committee.

Jonathan has been programming from a young age, finessing his way through many programming languages. After cutting his teeth with several smaller jobs and personal projects, Jonathan joined VertiSoft Corp. in 1997, catapulting him into the culture of "software as a service" well before it became an industry buzzword. Jonathan harnessed his passion for user experience in the computer science program at Georgia Tech by taking courses in psychology, cognitive science, and education. Armed with this interdisciplinary experience, Jonathan is keenly aware of how people learn and solve problems. In 2007, Jonathan helped found ShootQ, a web-based studio management solution for professional photographers, where he served as CTO. In 2010, ShootQ was acquired by Pictage, where Jonathan served as the Vice President of Software Products. Jonathan joined DreamHost in 2011 as Vice President of Software Development, bringing with him his experience and knowledge running engineering and product teams. In 2012, Jonathan became DreamHost's Vice President of Product and Development. In 2014, Jonathan took over the Cloud business unit at DreamHost as the Vice President of Cloud, and in late 2016 was promoted to the position of Senior Vice President of Product and Technology. When not hunkered down behind his laptop, Jonathan loves spending time with his beautiful and brilliantly creative wife, Lacey, his daughter Colette, his son William, and their two dogs, Winston and Nelson. Beyond his culinary interests, Jonathan spends Saturday afternoons in the fall rooting for his alma mater and the University of Miami and enjoying his favorite southern creation - bourbon.

Emil Sayegh is an early pioneer of cloud computing and is recognized as one of the industry’s true veterans. A cloud visionary, he is credited with launching and leading the cloud computing and hosting businesses for HP, Rackspace, and Codero. Emil built the Rackspace cloud business while serving as the company’s GM of the Cloud Computing Division. Earlier at Rackspace he served as VP of the Product Group and launched the company’s private cloud and hosted exchange services. He later moved on to HP where he served as VP of Cloud Service and initiated the company’s public cloud services. In 2012, Emil joined Codero Hosting as Chairman, President, and CEO and led the next generation of cloud computing with the hybrid cloud.  In 2015 he led the successful sale of Codero to a consortium of telecom companies.   Since 2016, Emil has held the position of President and CEO at Hostway in Austin, Texas. Emil holds nine patents in the fiber optics interconnect field, and is known as one of the “fathers of OpenStack,” having developed the open source software. He earned his Bachelors from the School of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters in Technology Commercialization from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

Godwin has served as a contributing editor of Reason magazine since 1994. He is currently a senior fellow at the R Street Institute.
