Entering and Utilizing the 4th Stage of the Webhosting Industry

Entering and Utilizing the 4th Stage of the Webhosting Industry

The hosting giants have reinforced their positions and strengthened their networks. GoDaddy’s acquisition of Host Europe expanded its reach to Europe, and now Warburg Pincus’ stake links 1&1’s network to US giant Endurance International. All the while, Wix.com keeps scooping up website customers and market capitalization.

The global players are advancing. What does that mean for the rest of the industry?

New business opportunities! We’re entering a new market phase. For SMEs, a website is a hub for digital business processes. Country- and industry-specific offerings are on the rise along with standardized services for successful digital strategies. The WAY and DIFM market exceeds that for DIY services, unlocking a wealth of opportunities for web hosters.

With 18 years of industry experience and 100+ partners, we will share strategies and insights from successful cases including Vodafone Germany.

Mike Godwin, immortalized by Godwin’s Law, goes head-to-head with TechDirt’s Mike Masnick, who coined The Streisand Effect, on the future of discourse. Has the Internet forever changed the way we communicate, and if so, is it for better? Are these tools we provide to the world coarsening the way we communicate? CUSTOMER SUCCESS The secret power behind your ARPU

CUSTOMER SUCCESS The secret power behind your ARPU

Mass market hosting is changing. The golden era of growth has ended. In 2017, your hosting business’s success is no longer guaranteed by overall market swell. Creating growth means increasing your ARPU by professionalising upselling and developing your exiting customers. At the same time, it means obtaining new clients from your competitor.

The market is saturated - The only way is upselling. But how do you do this? What upsells best for a higher rate of customer retention and lifetime? The answer is simple – sell your customers what they were looking for in the first place – sell your customers SUCCESS.

The average small business owner buys a website not for the technical add-ons and plugins they can buy. They weren’t looking for safety or streamlined servers.

They came to you to be successful, to have a website to be seen online, to be found by more
customers, to increase their revenue, Offering your customers success is the secret power behind retention, lifetime, average spending and recommendation rates.

Their success is your success, start making it possible today.

Why Elastic Sites hosting model is loved by hosters and their customers

Why Elastic Sites hosting model is loved by hosters and their customers

Elastic Sites is a new, modern hosting model that offers an alternative to VPS. When shared hosting customers require more resources, the typical path for them is to upgrade to VPS. Then, they require a great deal of support and are more likely to cancel. Some hosts we interviewed reported the churn rate for shared hosting users who upgrade to VPS may be as high as 50%. Elastic Sites allocates higher resources to individual customers on your shared hosting servers and those sites are incredibly easy to launch and manage. Elastic Sites is simply better than VPS for most of your customers. Join this session to learn why.

Re-inventing Team Collaboration Through Email

Re-inventing Team Collaboration Through Email

Research studies have shown lack of effective collaboration to be the main reason for failures at the workplace. So the question that begs asking is: despite having a plethora of tools for business communication - such as email, social media, Instant Messaging applications, etc - at our disposal, why is it that we are yet to figure out the most effective means of collaboration at the workplace?

Does old-school email still hold its sway in the world of new-age IM apps, that claim to be email-killers? And can email ever truly be done away with? And if email is not 'good enough' any more, what makes for an ideal replacement?

We at Zoho Mail have tried to address some of these pressing questions, and we think me might have the answers.

Hyper - A secure multi-tenant container cloud platform

Since the early days of Cloud, developers have been seeking ways to shift the focus from server to application, to ease the development, accelerate delivery, reduce errors and cut cost. Container platforms aim to enable this promised land. However, currently to run your containers, you still have to manage the underlying infrastructure, e.g. create VM cluster, setup storage, configure network, etc. This process is heavy, tedious, fragile, and most importantly, it is not the goal of developers who want higher agility by moving to the public cloud.

What can we do about this? This talk will focus on virtualized container technology that that combines the agility of Containers and the security of Virtualization. We will demonstrate the potential of this technology and the future of public cloud.
